The idea that flexibility at work-place can benefit the other domains of life has been tested by researchers, yet, the strong theoretical foundation explaining the interaction process, is missing. With this background, the purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between temporal and operational flexibility (OF) with work–family enrichment (WFE). Using a sample size of 220 male and female employees, the authors tested the regression model. In this study, we merge and extend the ideas from social exchange and broaden and build theory to prepare the foundation of positive work–family interaction. Results, based on a diverse sample of 220 employees, reveal that flexibility is significantly related to WFE. Whereas, temporal flexibility (TF) is found to be a stronger predictor of WFE in comparison to OF. Additionally, the reported gender scores are also significant. Furthermore, this study contributes to work–family literature by providing strong theoretical base for understanding the positive interactions of work and family domains. © 2015, Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management.-
