Title: Regional Flood Frequency Analysis for Jhelum River Basin

Abstract: The regional flood frequency analysis for the Jhelum river basin has been carried out. For this purpose the basin has been divided in three regions based on hydrometeorological conditions and the master plan for flood control and drainage of Kashmir valley. The comparative performance of various methods has been evaluated and suitable relationships for various regions have been recommended. These relationships may be used by field engineers for estimation of flood quantiles of desired frequency for various gauged / ungauged sites of the Jhelum river basin.
