Title: Reactivity studies on aminotroponiminatogermylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complexes

Abstract: Aminotroponiminatogermylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complexes and reactivity studies on N-heterocyclic germylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complexes were not known. Therefore, this work reports the synthesis of aminotroponiminatogermylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complexes [L1Ge(X){RuCl2(Y)}] (L1 = (i-Bu)2ATI; (ATI = aminotroponiminate), X = Cl 1, NC4H4 2, Y = ?6-p-cymene), and the reactivity studies on complex 2. N-pyrrolylgermylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complex 2 reacts with H2O and SnCl2 to afford hydroxygermylene stabilized ruthenium(II) complex [L1Ge(OH){RuCl2(Y)}] (3) and a bimetallic complex [L1Ge(NC4H4){Ru(SnCl3)Cl(Y)}] (4), respectively. The chlorogermylene analogue [L1GeCl{Ru(SnCl3)Cl(Y)}] (5) of complex 4 is also isolated by reacting complex 4 with chlorotrimethylsilane. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.
