Abstract: The conceptual design of a 42 GHz, 200 kW gyrotron continuous wave gyrotron operating in the TE5,2 mode was studied. The basic motivation and selection criteria were also discussed. The resonant cavity, magnetron injection gun, radio frequency (RF) guiding system, quasi-optical output coupler and RF window were also investigated.
