Abstract: | This paper describes, analysis and management of wheeling transaction from the various possible transactions available under deregulated environment of power system. An efficient and reliable artificial intelligence (AI) technique, i.e., evolutionary programming (EP) algorithm for the optimal power flow (OPF) has been developed to find out optimum cost of a transaction for various feasible options. The selection process uses the concept of pseudo - generator to find out maximum power limit, which can be allowed for a particular transaction. The procedure has been demonstrated on the IEEE-30 bus test system. The feasible option for the transaction is found based on the minimum cost of generation without violating system constraints. |
