Abstract: Field of view (FOV) is a primary performance parameter of an electro optical system and describe the angular field in the object space is acquiring by the Electro Optical (EO) systems. Generally the FOV of EO system is measured using two axis rotating stage mounted in front of a collimator and the precession angular reading for extreme positions of a sharp target. For measurement of FOV of a large size and weight The precession motorized rotation stage with high load capacity is quite expensive and some time it is not possible to mount EO system on a rotating stage due to heavy weight and large size of the. This paper describes the development of a image processing technique for FOV measurement using Graphics User Interface (GUI). © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
