dc.description.abstractMany real-life problems arising in science, business, engineering, etc. can be modeled as nonlinear constrained optimization problems.To solve these problems, population-based stochastic search methods have been frequently used in literature. In this paper, a population-based constraint-handling technique C-SOMGA is used to solve six engineering optimization problems.To showthe efficiency of this algorithm, the results are compared with the previously quoted results. © Springer India 2014.-
