Abstract: | We propose a leaky channel waveguide for large-mode-area extended single-mode operation. The proposed structure is characterized by specially designed guiding core and multilayer cladding. Waveguide is able to support single-mode operation with mode area as large as ̃ 100 μm2. © 2013 AIP Publishing LLC. |
