Abstract: We demonstrate femtosecond pulse propagation through large mode area tapered fiber at 1.06 μm wavelength. We obtain compression, soliton like propagation and dispersion of ultra-short pulses which can be utilized in spectroscopy and medical applications. © 2018 The Author(s).
