Abstract: | Energy is the prime commodity of development today throughout the world. Energy needs of the world is increasing drastically in order to achieve the industrial and economical growth. The per capita generation and consumption of electrical energy is becoming the measure of strength of any country. Mostly the energy demand in the world is satisfied by conventional ways using fossil fuel based power generation. Enormous use of conventional fuels lead to the huge amount of harmful emissions which is detrimental for earth's environment. Also dwindling of fossil fuel resources creates perilous situation to sustain the world' economy. Beside this, renewable energy resources have enough potential to meet the energy demand of various sectors and create environment friendly sustainable energy infrastructure. Many remotely located communities of developing countries are still struggling for the electrical power. Use of renewable energy sources in integrated fashion can satisfy the demand of rural community effectively. In this study, design approach of integrated renewable energy system is presented with different design parameters and sizing methodologies. © 2016 IEEE. |
