Abstract: In this paper, the relative stability analysis of perturbed single area non-reheated turbine load frequency model with a PID controller tuned via quadratic regulator approach with compensating pole (QRAWCP) is presented. The analysis is carried out using Routh criterion for variations in governor speed regulation of a single area Non-reheated turbine system for the designed controller. Further, the analysis is compared for existing control methods with load disturbances and parametric uncertainties by integral error performance indices. © 2019 IEEE.
