Title: A Novel High Boost Active Switched Inductor Quasi-Z-Source Inverter for PV System

Abstract: In this present study, a novel high boost active switched inductor quasi Z-source inverter(HBASL-qZSI) topology is proposed for photovoltaic(PV) system applications. The proposed topology has higher boosting capability in comparison with other Z-source inverters(ZSI) while maintaining the basic properties of quasi-ZSIs(qZSI) like continuous input current, and common ground between source and inverter. This paper analyses the operational modes and boost factor(B) calculations of proposed topology. The proposed HBASL-qZSI is simulated on the MATLAB/Simulink platform, and the results are compared with theoretical values to validate the theoretical analysis. In this study, for maximum power extraction from the input PV system, incremental conductance based maximum power point tracking(INC MPPT) algorithm has been implemented and the simple boost sinusoidal pulse width modulation(SPWM) technique is used for triggering the switches. © 2020 IEEE.
