Title: Novel Physical Modeling Technique for Switched Reluctance Motor

Abstract: A new physical modeling technique based on variable reluctance characteristics is proposed in this paper. Proposed method developed motor model from physical data of motor geometry, winding turns, resistance and B-H curves of material. It relates electrical, mechanical and magnetic system of the motor and represent interrelation among each other. Simulation model is developed in MATLAB and results are validated by comparing it with the actual data of three-phase 6/4 pole SRM model. Proposed method is easy to implement, required minimum data of motor and counts change in physical data to produce new magnetic characteristics of the motor without requirement of recalculations. © 2019 IEEE.
