Title: A weighted combining approach to multiuser detection in macrodiversity

Abstract: A new linear complexity algorithm using weighted combining is proposed for Multiuser Detection (MUD) in Macrodiversity for synchronous DS-CDMA. Error probability expression is derived for weighted combining based receivers and a framework for finding optimal weights is proposed. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm compares with the optimal maximum-likelihood (ML) MUD under various situations. © 2007 IEEE.
