dc.description.abstractThe road deterioration model for highway development and management (HDM-4) was discussed. The model attempts to model the complex interaction between vehicles, the environment, the pavement structure, and the surface. It predicts the deterioration of the pavement over time and under traffic which is manifested in various kinds of distresses. The model use the past behavior and compares the predictions with present day measurements before making present day predictions.-
