Title: Effect of architectural features on wind loads in low-rise buildings

Abstract: In India, majority of buildings fall under the category of low-rise buildings. Limited information is available regarding wind flow around such buildings. The flow is affected by architectural features and is further modified due to topographic features. The paper presents a review on such studies highlighting the effect of important architectural features of building (boundary wall and aspect ratio) and topographic features. It also describes in brief some of the research work carried out by the authors in this regard. Recent works by [John et al. (2008a, b and 2009)] have been discussed in brief to present wider scope on this issue.
